Meet Our Staff

Greig Glover, MD

Dr. Glover graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and served on active duty as a pilot for 11 years before completing medical school and his family practice residency at the University of Nebraska. He is board certified in family practice and also continues to serve as a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Reserve. He has practiced previously in Morris and Edina, Minnesota. He brings to his position extensive experience leading and governing healthcare organizations. He has served as chief of staff and as a member of the board of directors for a community hospital, is currently a member of the Care Delivery and Quality Improvement Committee for a large metro healthcare system, and holds membership in both the American Academy of Family Practice and the American College of Physician Executives.

Robert G. "Griff" Kelley, MD

Griff Kelley, MD

Dr. Kelley graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a degree in Physics and served on active duty for seven years as a submarine officer and nuclear engineer before completing medical school at Yale University School of Medicine. He did his family practice residency at the Washington (PA) Hospital Residency Program before joining FamilyHealth Medical Clinic of Lonsdale in the summer of 2005.

Julia Smith, Patient Representative

Julia came to work for Northfield Hospital five years ago while she was still attending Northfield High School. She has worked in Patient Admissions at both the front desk and the Emergency Department over the years. When she is not working, she enjoys art — she is co-owner of Pieces of Me Mosaics — and playing pool. She is looking forward to the opportunity to work in a new community clinic. Her hours will allow her to pursue her goal of becoming a registered nurse.

Kim Trebelhorn, Clinic Nurse

Kim has a wide range of nursing experience in a variety of settings. She has worked in a pediatric clinic, Northfield Hospital’s First Touch Birth Center and a primary care clinic. She was raised Nerstrand, Minn. She and her husband have four children, one of whom reigned as Defeat of Jesse James Days queen in 2004. She spends a lot of time following her children’s sports, and enjoys camping, flower gardening, sewing and crafts when she is not at work.

Connie Jackson, Radiology Technician

Connie brings a wealth of experience to her new position at FamilyHealth Medical Clinic of Lonsdale. Trained in St. Cloud Hospital’s School of Radiology, she has worked in a variety of hospital and clinic settings, most recently at Northfield Hospital. A Northfield resident, Connie spends time with her grown children and her grandchild. She appreciates the opportunity to be part of a smaller, start-up clinic that allows for more personalized care.

Michelle "Shelly" Smisek, Clinic Nurse

Shelly brings almost 20 years of nursing experience to the new FamilyHealth Medical Clinic of Lonsdale. She has experience in long term care, pediatric clinics and most recently at group homes for developmentally disabled adults. Originally from New Prague, Shelly lives in Lonsdale and is married to Jeff Smisek, Training Officer for the Lonsdale Fire Department. They have three children. Their oldest, Nicole, was a princess in this year's Miss Lonsdale Contest.

Shelly said the new clinic is a great opportunity for her to use her nursing skills to serve the people in her community. "I just think that is really exciting," she said.

Barb Cole, Medical Assistant

Barb Cole, Medical Assistant

Barb brings several skill sets to the FamilyHealth Medical Clinic of Lonsdale. For 23 years, she has worked as a medical assistant in settings such as Family Practice, Internal Medicine and for the past 12 years Physicians Urgent Care at Fairview Southdale. A resident of Lonsdale since 2000, Barb also works for the Lonsdale Area Chamber of Commerce, where she spends a good deal of time thinking about community development and customer service. When she is not at work, she enjoys following her two children's activities, which include athletics, church, Civil Air Patrol and dance.

"I am thrilled with the opportunity to be a part of this clinic serving those in and around the community that I live in and enjoy," Barb said.

Marlene Kerns

Marlene Kerns

Marlene has 16 years of experience in the healthcare field. She comes to FamilyHealth Medical Clinic of Lonsdale after working for 11 years with a large Twin Cities clinic.

She has spent the past five years studying nutritional therapy and stress reduction. Her passion is for teaching the important role that nutrition plays in regaining and maintaining good health. She has trained in both the United States and Canada to become a Certified Biofeedback Technician and has her own part-time business called The Electric Body Shop.

Marlene and her husband, Greg, live in New Market. They have two sons ages 8 and 19. In her spare time in fair weather, she rides motorcycles with her husband, relatives, and friends and last year took the necessary training to obtain her own motorcycle license. Traveling the scenic countryside and being out in the fresh air on her cycle with family and friends is her own way of reducing stress and increasing relaxation.

Marie has several years of experience working in clinic settings. She is currently pursuing further education in a nursing program through Riverland Community College in Owatonna. Marie lives with her husband in Lonsdale. When she is not working, she enjoys time with family and friends, reading, gardening and crafts.

Nancy Jirik, Patient Service Representative

Nancy brings more than 25 years of customer service experience to her position at FamilyHealth Medical Clinic of Lonsdale. Originally from Veseli, Nancy lives in rural Montgomery with her husband, two daughters and a yellow lab named “Buddy.” Nancy’s interests include classic cars, racing and gardening.

“I feel truly blessed to be given the opportunity to serve the people of this community,” she said. “I look forward to meeting all of you.”

Kara Rossmeisl, Patient Service Representative

Kara is trained in medical transcription and medical office administration. Originally from Tyler, Minn., she moved with her husband and four children to Lonsdale to be closer to his employment.
