FamilyHealth–Lakeville offers drop-in care and same-day appointments each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Saturday hours will help provide options for people who are dealing with acute health issues that are not life-threatening and do not require an emergency room visit. A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control suggests that 80 percent of cases in emergency rooms are not true emergencies. Weekend clinics provide a more cost-effective alternative, freeing up emergency department to address the most serious cases.

Electronic medical records make it easy for patients from any FamilyHealth clinic to take advantage of the Lakeville clinic's Saturday hours. New patients are also welcome.
